The Impotent Man: This man had thirty-eight years of sickness, sorrow and loneliness. Everybody had already abandoned him. His testimony was that he had no helper. But the Lord looked for him, found him and his sickness was taken away at once. He had a new beginning and his past became history. God is looking for you.

“And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.” Jn. 5 v 5, 8

Abraham: God looked for Abraham. His background was full of idolatory. The Almighty God broke through the powers of his fetish background to make a friend out of him. Your background is not a problem to God. He is looking for you. Abraham became the father of faith and of many nations.

“And the LORD appeared unto Abraham, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded be an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.” Gen. 12 v 7.

David: There is no doubt that God did everything possible to look for David. His own case was that God needed him to replace king Saul. He found him and David was anointed to become king. Of all the relationships God ever had with men, only David was described as a man after God’s heart. God will find you out to replace men and women in other to carry out His plan.

“And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long will thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, chid, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither. And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautified countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he. Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah, “ 1 Sam. 16 v 1, 11-13.
